Leather Furniture—A Popular Choice in 2018

Because of its beauty and durability people have been using leather for thousands of years. Some of the oldest examples ever discovered were made by the Egyptians over 3,000 years ago and when found, were still in near perfect condition! We can't guarantee that your leather furniture will last that long, but we can certainly help to maintain and restore the natural beauty of your leather furniture.

Leather has become a very popular choice in decorating both the home and the workplace environments. Research shows that leather furniture is likely to be owned longer than most any other type of home furnishing. This means that your leather furniture will probably be subjected to life's every-day-wear-and-tear for a very long time. Leather furniture can also be negatively affected by such things as children, pets, accidents with food and beverages, as well as the long-term effects of our intense Colorado sunshine. What many homeowners may not realize, however, is that there is an affordable solution for these common problems.

OnSite Leather Care can repair and revive your leather furniture!

With over eight years' experience working with fine leather furniture, OnSite Leather Care has developed techniques which make it possible to bring leather upholstery back to life. Whether the sunshine has drastically changed the original color of your couch or a new kitten has wreaked havoc on your favorite chair, we can fix it! Please read more about our professional leather restoration services and see samples of our work in the Before and After Photo Gallery. We can't wait to show you what we can do for you!

A few days ago I contacted Jeff to see if he could restore our 20-year-old leather couch which was badly scratched by our dog over the past 2 years. He arrived exactly on time, was friendly, and very professional. He explained the process, mentioned that there would be a strong odor for a short while, and went to work. After approximately one hour he was finished, and the couch looked absolutely like new! We are very greateful and extremely happy. I have already recommended his service to a friend of mine.”

I wanted to let you know that we're extremely happy with the work you did on our leather sectional. It looks like a new couch! I was totally impressed
with your professionalism. You arrived exactly as you promised.  You called ahead to make sure we were still on. The value for what we paid for your service was very reasonable and our sectional should last another decade. Thanks again and feel free to share this message.”

I have a couple leather couches and chairs that were damaged by my cats who were using them as scratching posts. I was about to start looking into the cost of replacing these couches and chairs when I saw an ad from OnSite Leather Care. I contacted Jeff and emailed him a few photos of the damage to see if he could help. We set up an appointment and Jeff came to my house and worked his magic on these pieces of furniture. Now I no longer have to cover the corners of my couches and chairs with afghans to hide the damage or think about having them replaced—they look great! I would highly recommend you give OnSite Leather Care a call. You will be happy you did and pleasantly surprised with their very reasonable prices.”

The Importance of Doing Your Research Before Purchasing Leather Furniture

This timely story appeared on Channel 7 News today.—TheDenverChannel.com/1.27.15

Buyer Beware!

In the market for new leather furniture? You may be interested in reading section 24.2 of “Guides For Select Leather and Imitation Leather Products” available on the website of the U.S. Government Publishing Office. Despite the fact that the majority of consumers prefer real leather, many are unknowingly purchasing leather-like products. Len Burke, vice president of marketing at Klaussner Home Furnishings says that one of the biggest challenges for both retailers and consumers is the fact that many leather-like products contain the word “leather” somewhere in the brand name or model name, even though they contain only a small amount of leather. Names like “LeatherPlus,” “Leather Rich,” or “Leather Gel” can be confusing to the consumer. Gene Stoltz, of Wolf Furniture in Bellwood, Pa. recently pleaded with retailers saying, “Isn’t it about time we quit trying to deceive consumers into thinking they are buying leather when in reality, it’s not leather?” —(1) Thomas, Larry. “Faux Leathers Pose Challenge.
